Open to any ISCB member in good standing, with priority to members from low or middle income countries as well as students and postdoctoral fellows. Consideration is based on membership, accepted work, and country economic status. Applicant must be a current ISCB member whose membership does not expire before December 31 of the conference year (pending memberships do not qualify and must be paid in full before applying). Applicant must be listed as an author or co-author on the original submission of an accepted Proceedings paper, Abstract, or Poster (excluding accepted Late-Breaking Posters) and must be the presenter. Applicant must attend the conference and must be able to pay all costs up front.
Must be an ISCB member in good standing (active membership at the time of application and during the conference) and must have a submission accepted for presentation in which the candidate is the presenting author. Any presentation type is eligible, but priority is given to members presenting talks.
Exclusively designated for minority scientists who are U.S. based, per the funding agency's terms. As a member society of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology (FASEB), ALL of ISCB's Society-run annual conferences are eligible venues: ISMB, Rocky, CSHALS, GLBIO, ISCB-Africa, ISCB-Asia, and ISCB-Latin America.
Applicant must be attending a GRC for the first time and must illustrate how it would advance their career goals, contributions, or access to opportunities in their field.
Graduate students or postdocs who are citizens of, and currently reside/work in, an eligible country: China, Russia, Ukraine, India, plus any country in Africa, Central America or South America. A conferee may hold citizenship in one eligible country and reside/work in a different eligible country.
